A lady, distinguished by the name of Sonia, executed a two-year-old girl to pay the father of the young man who had married another person.
The girl was playing outside her home on Friday in the Hashmi neighborhood of Gujranwala when speculation strangled her to death, police said.
The boy's father, Shahid, had been involved with Sonia five years earlier, but had married another person, said DSP.
"I was jealous of my marriage," Shahid said, adding that Sonia should have focused on him, not on his innocent young man.
The police search Sonia, who fled the scene after the assault. The police unloaded the young woman's body at her parents' home after the posthumous evaluation.
