The Federal Investigation Agency captured a man in Lahore for using the name of a PTI MP and offered business opportunities to reunite women, an authority said Friday.
The suspect, distinguished as Farrukh Ikhlaq, made "illegal" offers to the women of PTI, said FIA deputy director Chaudhry Sarfaraz. He was captured during the demonstration of PTI MP Kanwal Shauzab.
Ikhlaq had also expanded job opportunities for Laila Perveen, the organizer of PTI Sindh, the authority said, adding that the FIA had captured him after meeting Perveen in a cafe in Lahore.
The speculation is completed as an executive agent of the Parks and Horticultural Authority, said Sarfaraz.
The underlying review of the found cell phones revealed that the suspect imitated a known PTI pioneer and imprisoned "innocent" workers at the meeting via WhatsApp, the FIA announced.
A body of evidence against him was enlisted in Pakistan's e-crime law.
